A volcano has erupted in Iceland for the sixth time since December.
After being dormant for 800 years, volcanoes have come alive again. In 2021, nine eruptions occurred on the Reykjanes Peninsula after geological systems were reactivated.
The total length of the fissure was about 2.42 miles. It expanded by almost a mile in about 40 minutes, the Icelandic Meteorological Office reported.
